This whole thing began in 1963, when Blake Edwards needed an opening sequence for his film, The Pink Panther, so he commissioned David H. DePatie and Warner Brothers cartoon director, Friz Freleng to make one for it. The opening sequence turned out to be more popular than the movie itself, so United Artist commissioned DePatie-Freleng Enterprises to make Pink Panther cartoons for theaters. In 1969, due to the success of the cartoon, NBC started airing The Pink Panther Show along with another DFE theatrical cartoon... The InspectorIt was based on the Inspector Clouseau character. The Inspector was a clumsy French detective who bumbles everything up. It ran in theaters from December 1965 thru February 1969. There were total of 34 theatrical shorts. Very short lived, the series was one of a number of shows that failed seeking to capitalize on the success of a video game. Everyone from Donkey Kong to Q*Bert has come and gone in animated form almost completely unnoticed, but my theory is that the producers of these sorts of shows don't really expect them to last past one or two seasons. The downside is that cartoons can cost even more than a live-action show, so in the case of Pac-Man, who really wasn't promoting anything besides a video game that everyone on the planet was already playing, just can't be thought of as a success. Show Type: Animated Series\n First Telecast: September 25, 1982\n Last Telecast: December 31, 1983\n

In each themed 30-minute episode of "Amazing Eats", we're celebrating America's most delicious, biggest and best of the best. From the most massive of meals served at a single table, to the tallest standing sandwiches in history, we're embracing it all. Each episode takes on yet another subject of the people's choices of chow - the meatiest, the most fried, the spiciest and the sweetest. (Source: The Travel Channel)

The All-New Super Fr
After a lackluster start in 1973, the familiar SuperFriends team of Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batman and Robin returned 4 years later in this series which featured four episodes in under one-hour airings following this format: The first was a 7-minute short that featured at least two of the core superheroes teamed to combat various villains seeking to carry out diabolical plots. The second was a 4 1/2-minute short that featured the Wonder Twins from planet Exxor, alien teenage superheroes Zan and Jayna who utilize special changing powers by touching their fists to activate and spring into action to help kids and teenagers in danger. Helping them out is the blue space monkey Gleek , who has a long tail that comes in handy every now and then. The threesome were an effective replacement of original Junior SuperFriends Wendy, Marvin, and WonderDog. The third episode was the main, full-length episode of the hour as the SuperFriends and the Wonder Twins teamed up against various villains and dangers that usually were a threat to the world. These were at least 22 minutes long. The fourth episode was a rescue mission that teamed at least one of the regular superheroes with another DC Comics superhero. This guest cast included Hawkman and Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, Rima the jungle woman, the Atom and the Flash . Other heroes (not from DC Comics) created for this and subsequent SuperFriends series are Black Vulcan, Samurai , and Apache Chief for more ethnic variety. These shorts were 6 minutes long. In between episodes, there were a number of fun segments for kids. There were magic tricks, decoder games, arts and crafts to make objects out of household items, as well as the more serious health and safety tips. The All-New SuperFriends Hour premiered on September 10, 1977 on ABC and ran one season before being replaced by Challenge of the SuperFriends which aired with another SF series that featured the main cast and the Wonder Twins in a half-hour series similar to the third episodes of this series. Subsequent SuperFriends series aired after these until the final series The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians in 1985

When thirtysomething debuted in 1987 it was attacked by some critics as being a self-indulgent examination of the minutiae of yuppie life. Before the first season was over, some of those same critics were covering their tracks by calling it "the most improved show on television." Producers Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz had teamed up before on Family and would go on to create My So-Called Life, Relativity and Once and Again. Often using feature-film techniques, their brand of what could be called "reality" television tackled not only the small subjects, but the big ones too, all the way from life to death, as they followed their characters on the road from the idealism of youth to the search for security and responsibility as they glided toward middle age.

This is one of the classic TV whodunits -- with a twist. The show's format was such that the audience would see everything that the show's namesake character would see, including all of the clues, and then, right before the final scene started (you know... the one where all the suspects are brought into the room for the "YOU... killed the victim. And you did it because..." scene, the star (Ellery Queen, of course) would turn to the TV audience and state "Okay, you've got all the clues. Do you know who did it? I think I do. Can you guess?" And the audience had the chance to be part of the show. Quite unique and half the fun.

At first, he is disapproving of Helena's vigilantism, even trying to arrest her, but eventually he realizes there is a need for the Birds of Prey to take down criminals the police can't handle.During the course of the show, the Birds of Prey often find themselves confronted with schemes masterminded by Dr. Quinzel, though they are unaware of her involvement until the final episode of the series. Quinzel's attempts to discover what Helena is hiding - and the duplicitous nature of their therapy sessions together - form a large part of the series arc, beginning in the pilot episode and being resolved in the series finale.

Beyond Scared Straig
Beyond Scared Straight is a new series executive produced by Arnold Shapiro and based on his Academy Award and multiple Emmy-Winning documentary "Scared Straight!," that will profile unique approaches to juvenile crime prevention in prisons around the U.S."Scared Straight!" has become an iconic name and a cultural phenomenon over the years. The film made a huge impact - showcasing the radical and effective juvenile intervention program that took place in a New Jersey prison. Since they were created, both the prison program and the film have turned countless kids away from drugs, violence and crime. The power of the original "Scared Straight!" program has inspired dozens of inmate-run intervention programs in men's and women's prisons across the country; and this series will showcase several of them. Under the auspices of Arnold Shapiro, "Beyond Scared Straight" profiles the new approach to keeping today's kids from becoming tomorrow's convicts.Much like the original version of "Scared Straight!," these youthful offender programs put boys and girls of all ethnicities, ranging in age from 13-18, into intensive one-day in-prison sessions that show them the realities of life behind bars. However, in many dramatic ways, these 21st Century programs are very different from the original because today's youth needs a different approach. For current teens, city streets can be as dangerous as the life they believe exists behind bars. TV, film and music have glorified the gang and prison experience and the task of "scaring" teens is more complicated now than ever. As a result, inmates have had to adapt their methods - making them more a combination of intimidation, information and communication - and the results for the new program have proven to be equally effective. Each 60-minute episode of "Beyond Scared Straight" will focus on a different prison program in the U.S., following 4 -5 at-risk teens. Viewers will follow them as they attend the program, experience their intensive one-day in-prison session and then follow up with them one-month later to see the lasting impressions the program has left on them. 'Beyond Scared Straight!' will once again show young offender intervention programs, only these have evolved since 'scaring teens is no longer as easy of a task.' Each of the four episodes ... Observing programs for troubled teens in which inmates reveal the realities of prison life in the hope of deterring them from a life of crime.

Gone were the days of a pup named Scrappy-Doo, this series ushered in the age of a pup named Scooby-Doo! As in the original series, the villains of this series were always bad guys in rubber masks, a concept that they had gotten away from when Scrappy entered the show and the ghosts became real. More cartoonish than the rest of the shows, the characters seemed to nod back to the old Warner Bros. cartoons -- complete with bugging eyes, gaping jaws, and a myriad of hijinks an

The rotoscoped animation is based upon the work of Burrough's favorite Tarzan artist, Burne Hogarth.
